Mugwort has been used in protective sachets, especially those created in relation to travel. It is said to prevent delays, and other annoyances associated with traveling, as well as to protect the traveler from accidents, thieves and other dangers associated with traveling. Mugwort is often associated with the female reproductive system, perhaps because of its associations with the moon, and can cause delayed menstruation. In some magical traditions, mugwort is associated with divination and dreaming and often burned or added to dream pillows for lucid dreaming.
